Violerts - NYC Property Compliance & Violation Monitoring Platform

Turning fragmented NYC property records into actionable compliance intelligence.

Violerts is a property compliance monitoring platform built to help property owners, landlords, managers, and developers monitor NYC properties, discover violations and complaints, access historical records, and stay informed about changes across multiple government databases. The platform brings data from agencies and public datasets such as the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB), HPD, FDNY, NYC DOT, and New York State sources into a unified property intelligence experience. Users can search properties, build portfolios, receive alerts, review compliance records, and generate detailed property reports.

The Challenge

Managing property compliance in New York City can require working across multiple agencies, databases, records, and regulatory systems. Violerts was designed to simplify this fragmented process by providing a centralized platform for property research, monitoring, and compliance management.

The Solution

I worked on the full-stack development of Violerts, with a focus on its Laravel backend, React-based application experience, property data workflows, and integrations with external/public data sources.

The platform allows users to search NYC properties, access property records, monitor violations and complaints, and organize properties into portfolios. Violerts also provides automated notifications when changes are detected, helping property professionals stay informed without repeatedly checking individual government databases.

A dedicated backend search experience provides access to multiple NYC datasets, including certificates of occupancy, DOB NOW records, permits, violations, zoning information, and other property-related datasets. It also supports advanced filtering and exporting search results for further analysis.
