Who runs this site

aqibjavaid.site is the professional website of Aqib Javaid, an independent software engineer based in Islamabad, Pakistan. I am the data controller for the information described below. You can reach me at info@aqibjavaid.site or through the contact page.

Information you give me

• Contact form: your name, email address, optional company, budget range, website and the project details you write. I use it only to reply to your enquiry and to prepare a proposal.
• Booking a call: your name, email, chosen time slot and any notes, so I can confirm, reschedule and send calendar invitations.
• Email: if you write to me directly, I keep the conversation for as long as it is useful for the work or my records.

I do not sell this information and I do not use it for unrelated marketing.

Information collected automatically

The site runs a first-party analytics system hosted on my own server. It records pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, clicks on links and buttons, referrer, approximate country, and device and browser type. It does not store your raw IP address (only a daily-rotating hash), form contents or passwords. Two first-party cookies (a visitor identifier that lasts up to a year and a session identifier that lasts 30 minutes) tie these events together. I may also use Google Analytics to measure traffic in aggregate.

Advertising and third-party cookies

Some pages, mainly blog articles, may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technology to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your previous visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

Other services

How long I keep data

Enquiries and booking records are kept while a project or conversation is active and for up to three years afterwards for record keeping, then deleted. Analytics events are kept in aggregate form and can be deleted on request.

Your rights

You can ask me to access, correct, export or delete the personal data I hold about you, and to stop using it for a particular purpose. Email info@aqibjavaid.site and I will respond within 30 days. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site continues to work without them.

Children

This site is aimed at business visitors and is not directed at children under 13.
